Oral surgery is a surgical operation performed in the oral cavity (teeth, mucosa and accessory tissues) to solve or remove pathological anatomical elements.

One of the most frequent oral surgeries is the one applied to extract the wisdom teeth, which is indicated mainly when there is pain.

Other oral surgery interventions are:

  • Complex dental extractions.
  • Removal of jaw cysts.
  • Biopsies.
  • Extraction of dental roots from inside the bone.
  • Prosthesis implants and brace surgery, indicated for children who have limited lip and tongue mobility due to having too large the membrane that holds the tongue from the bottom.
